Well this is what I did...like I said before I'm new at all the stuff. And he was nice looking, not really my type but hey he bought "Eat Pray Love," so he's the sensitive type, right?
So I invited him to sit down. We talked for a little bit. He seemed inhibited and intimidated - which is weird since I never thought of myself as intimidating. Turns out he was a bird watcher. That's right, a bird watcher! As much as I love birds I have never had an interest in standing around (or crawling around) to watch them. But as he talked on, and on, it turns out its a very social thing. Who knew?
Anyway, he seemed nice so when he asked me for my number, I gave it.

Very impressed that you invited him to sit down to talk. I'm not sure what I would have done in that situation. I'm not a big fan of strange men talking to me. But then again... I'm not looking. Might be different if I was single.
Should you go out with him if he calls? Mmmmmm... sure, why not. You've already sat with him for coffee. Now it's time for dinner out. Although, make sure you MEET him somewhere. You'll need your own getaway car if he bores you too much with the bird talk!!!
btw... good job with the links!
Absolutely...rule #1 for dating in the middle-ages:
Always drive your own car to a first (and maybe second) date.
But for some reason I don't think it'll be a restaurant - more likely we'll crawling around on our bellies in the Santa Monica mountains looking for the Bulloccis Oriallis. :))
Not sure how much fun crawling on your bellies might be. But there's promise of fun if you take a picnic.
(I'm beginning to realize that "fun" for me revolves around food!)
